My sincere apologies. I have been looking hard on this..the busiest travel day 2024. However, I cannot find a turkey anywhere on Sandy Beach or the Sea of Cortez this morning. So, I have included a photo of this gang hanging out by the Sonoran Sun Resort. This is the best I can do. Chalk it up to another example of timing is everything.
Despite our best intentions on any given day, many of us humans are unable to regularly “live in the moment.” And doing so is an especially tough task today. This is because most people are focused on where they are going to be tomorrow. That is the real turkey day. Yet today, much of our thoughts are on getting to where we will be eating or doing preparations for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving Travel with Puerto Peñasco
This morning at the Sonoran Sun, there are some people leaving. But their trips on the busiest travel day 2024 will be a breeze for most of the way. They obviously are not the ones cooking a big holiday feast for their family and friends. A couple I talked to spent a long weekend last weekend. They are now driving back to El Paso for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow at their parent’s home.
Another group I met were delighted about blowing off a few days at work during a shortened week. They were quite confident not much is getting done on their jobs while they are busy enjoying the beach. They have a place to go for dinner in Tucson tomorrow. As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, it was my pleasure to caution them about dinner not tasting great since they are Dallas Cowboys fans. Surely, another loss in tomorrow’s game is on the menu.
Rocky Point Mexico Thanksgiving
We have a couple from Queen Creek, Arizona who are on the road this busiest travel day 2024. They are coming to stay at Sonoran Sun 510 East for the Thanksgiving weekend. It is their first visit to Puerto Peñasco and they are expecting to become regulars. They have enjoyed other parts of Mexico. However, the ability to drive and being so close to the U.S. Mexico border is enticing to them.
Wherever you are. Whatever you are doing. Whoever is with you. My message is the same. May you enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving 2024 and take a moment to feel grateful and thankful.
