I cannot think of anything quite like watching the tide. If there were a job which required this as a skill, I would be a highly qualified employee in great demand. Perhaps you feel like you might be a serious candidate as well. And that is just fine with me. The more the merrier.
Regardless, watching the tide is not a viable occupation at this point. Yet, that doesn’t mean it isn’t a great way to keep yourself occupied in Puerto Peñasco. Keep in mind, it is because of the stress people feel in their job or career that makes beach getaways to Rocky Point Mexico such a popular escape option.
Tide Takes Away Sandy Beach Island
Full disclosure. I am laughing as I write but must come clean because this is no time to make waves which could have a negative effect on credibility. Yes. The above heading is true. However, it sounds much more dramatic than it really was. Okay a lot more than much more! lol
Picture this. I was rushing to get out of my Sonoran Sun 510 East condo today because we had rental guests arriving soon for a weekend stay. In double checking the balcony, I looked out on the Sea of Cortez. I paused everything and took in one more moment watching the tide roll in quickly.
Incoming Tide Caught on Video
Straight past the center of the Sonoran Sun Resort pool area, I could easily notice Sandy Beach was getting washed away by the small but steady waves. However, one spot stood out. A few feet beyond the water’s edge, there was what looked like a small island barely holding on above sea level.
I thought this would be a cool video to both see and share with others. Therefore, I set up my iPhone on a stand with a holder and put it into the perfect position. Then, I went back to leaving no footprint of my stay before the wonderful rentals guests arrived.
I hope you have a few moments to relax and enjoy the video as well. Doing so could give you a break from whatever it is you’re doing. It might also remind you how good it feels to spend quality time watching the tide reclaim its high.
